Former F1 driver Karun Chandhok spent a day at Oro Station to review the developing 4.1 km motor circuit. After hundreds of simulator laps, Karun walked and drove the site, getting a feel for the layout, elevation, banking, and long straights. We also put in some seat time in the Can-Am Maverick R to explore flow and sight-lines around the course.
In collaboration with our design partner Driven International, Karun has been advising on the flow and driving character of the 4.1 km circuit. To see the earthworks now taking shape gave him the opportunity to confirm racing lines, braking zones, and sightlines—nuances that cannot be fully judged in simulation alone. His observations will inform the fine-tuning of the track as construction advances.
What began as sketches and digital models is now revealing itself in steel and soil, and the driving experience we imagined is coming to life.
Watch the video to hear Karun’s impressions from trackside and glimpse the elevation profiles of Oro's circuit.
