At its heart, Oro Station is more than a motor circuit. It is intended as a place where automotive culture, engineering ingenuity, and the future of mobility come together.
We are therefore pleased to share that Oro Station has been named a partner in the Simcoe County Regional Technology Development Site (RTDS), announced through Ontario’s Vehicle Innovation Network (OVIN). The initiative brings together industry leaders, academic institutions, and regional partners to accelerate the development of next-generation automotive and smart mobility technologies.
In collaboration with Georgian College, Lakehead University, Honda of Canada Manufacturing, Invest Barrie, the City of Barrie, the City of Orillia, and the County of Simcoe, the RTDS will support companies developing advanced mobility solutions by connecting research, prototyping, and real-world validation.
Within this network, Oro Station will contribute something uniquely valuable: a purpose-built environment where emerging technologies can be tested and demonstrated under real conditions. As the Oro Station Motor Circuit and innovation campus take shape, the site will offer a rare combination of engineering infrastructure and automotive culture.
This partnership reflects a broader ambition for Oro Station, to become a place where the heritage of the automobile and the technologies shaping its future exist side by side.
